Music is everything and everywhere - it is the most intimate, intuitive and beautiful language that transcends the oral and written word.

I have found that the classical music world can often fall into the trap of being elitist, competitive, and intimidating - unfortunately driving some people away from this divine art form. The professional scene can sometimes lose sight of what's really important: that music is supposed to be soothing and enjoyable! Although I emphasize technique in lessons, I do not lose sight of this truth and I always try to keep my students motivated and inspired.

  • "Adult online student review here: I studied music in college (but never strings), and I've never had online music lessons until now. The remote lessons are comparable to in person lessons and it's easy to stay in touch between lessons if needed. I appreciate the attention to detail for technique, and the pace of introduction of new skills is good/appropriate. The lessons go by fast, the assignments are not boring, and I've seen a tremendous improvement in a short amount of time. Highly recommend!"

  • "Aekyung is an excellent instructor! She is driven and knowledgeable and pushes just hard enough for my young daughter to learn well, but not too much that she becomes burnt out. Aekyung has taught the Suzuki method and after only a year of lessons, my daughter has a well-trained ear and she is able to teach herself how to play the hymns we sing at church and other songs she wishes to play. We are very impressed with how much our daughter has learned from Aekyung and are so grateful to have her as our teacher!"
